This December, Raffles Christian School Pondok Indah came together to celebrate the season of joy and love with the theme: “Love in Action: Compassion through Service”. 🌟

Guided by the verse from 1 John 3:18, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth,” our Secondary and Junior College students brought the Christmas spirit alive through meaningful activities that reflected the true essence of love and compassion. ❤️

🎁 Community Service: Donations to Pintu Elok Orphanage
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in our donation drive. Your generosity made a real difference in the lives of the children at Pintu Elok Orphanage, spreading God’s love beyond our school community. Together, we’ve shown how love in action can transform lives.

🎄 Spreading Joy This Christmas with Pintu Elok Orphanage 🎁

This Christmas season, Raffles Christian School Pondok Indah came together to make a difference for children at Pintu Elok Orphanage, Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan.

💌 Primary students crafted heartfelt cards and brought pre-loved toys, clothes, and books.
📚 Secondary students donated stationery and notebooks, beautifully wrapped as gifts.
🛒 JC students contributed essential groceries like oil, sugar, rice, and biscuits. They also took the lead in packing everything!

This initiative was open to contributions from students and teachers across all levels, showing the true spirit of giving.

Last week, 6 members of our Student Council Committee personally delivered the donations to two children’s homes.

Together, we shared the gift of kindness and brought smiles to many faces this Christmas. Thank you, Raffles family, for your generosity and compassion!

🍴 A feast of international dishes prepared by our talented parent volunteers and local chefs.
🎨 Fun interactive activities, from arts and crafts to traditional games for all ages.

This event brought our community together to celebrate the beauty of cultural diversity while raising funds for our upcoming Cultural Night (Colours & Rhythms of Asia) in October 2025.

On Friday, November 1, 2024, the sparks flew at Jakarta International Velodrome as our young athletes showcased their passion and skills. With the theme “Unity Through Sports,” this event brought together the students from RCS Pondok Indah, RCS Kebon Jeruk, RCS Kelapa Gading, and Raffles College. 🌴🌆🏰📚

Our four houses, Dunstan Tiger, William Lion, Godric Unicorn, and Philips Gryphon, battled it out with determination and sportsmanship. The energy was electrifying as the fields transformed into arenas of courage. 🙌🎽

It was a day filled with unforgettable moments of unity, competition, and pure FUN! Adrenaline pumped through our veins as athletes showcased their jaw-dropping skills, supported by the heart-pounding cheers from their fellow students. 🚀🎽🙌

🌏✈️ Student Testimony: Science and Technology Immersion Trip to Meikei High School, Japan 🇯🇵✨

*”The Science and Technology Immersion Trip to Meikei School in Japan from 29th June to 11th July 2024 was a life-changing experience for me. From the moment we arrived at Narita and settled into the dormitory, I knew we were in for an incredible journey.

Our days were filled with diverse activities. The campus tour and visit to the botanical garden were just the beginning. Learning Japanese and attending regular classes allowed us to immerse ourselves in the local culture and educational system. The welcoming party and club activities helped us bond with Meikei students, making us feel right at home.

One of the highlights was the tea ceremony, where we learned about Japanese traditions and the importance of mindfulness. Visiting Cyberdyne and the aquarium gave us insight into Japan’s advancements in technology and marine biology.

Our trip to Waseda University and ICU, and staying in Tokyo, was inspiring. Exploring teamLab and Miraikan Science Museum expanded our understanding of interactive art and scientific innovation. Spending a day with our host families was heartwarming and showed us the warmth of Japanese hospitality.

At Tsukuba University, we delved deeper into our academic interests, while visits to JAXA and the Geology Museum were awe-inspiring. Participating in Japan Red Cross activities was a humbling experience, reminding us of the importance of community service.

The Japanese calligraphy session on our last day at Meikei was a perfect way to conclude our trip, reflecting on the beauty of Japanese culture. Our farewell was emotional, but we left with lifelong memories and friendships.

🎉 RCS PI’s annual charity event, the “Amity Festival,” was a huge success! 🙌🏼 We opened our doors to a wonderful coalescence of art, music, and charity on Friday, February 23, 2024. Students, teachers, and families came together to support ocean conservation through our theme “Seas of Change: Uniting Student Forces for Ocean Conservation Fundraising.” 🐠🌏

🌟 We are thrilled to share that we partnered with Seasoldier, an NGO dedicated to protecting sea life, to raise funds for this important cause. 💙🌊 The support from our community will make a real difference in preserving our oceans and aligns with our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14. 🌎🐟
