Eric Carle is a renowned children’s book author and illustrator known for his distinctive style of creating colorful and textured images using a technique called collage. He often uses tissue paper, painted with bright colors, and then layers them to create unique illustrations.

To produce a book on chameleons inspired by Eric Carle’s style, Kindergarten 1 students at Raffles Christian School Pondok Indah used a similar technique during the Language Week from 13th to 17th February 2023.. They used brightly colored paper and painted it with various textures, patterns, and designs. Then, they cut out different shapes and sizes of the paper and arranged them to create images of chameleons.

The Kindergarten 1 students at Raffles Christian School Pondok Indah drew inspiration from Eric Carle’s use of collage, bright colors, and simple shapes to create a visually engaging book on chameleons. By incorporating these techniques into their illustrations, the students were able to create a book that is both fun and educational for young readers.
